eToro Demo

The eToro demo account provides traders a platform where they can develop trading strategies risk free with the use virtual money and build a practice portfolio. The demo or the virtual account replicates the exact market conditions and features of the real trading account. It also gives traders access to a variety of real-world assets such as stocks, commodities, cryptocurrencies and more.

While this was developed for beginner traders to hone their trading skills, even experienced investors are finding good use of the demo account because it adds to their knowledge about market trading. Plus, it is very easy to switch from the real eToro account to the demo account.

Accessing

Setting up an eToro account is very easy. Simply follow these steps:

1. Log in to your eToro account
2. On the dashboard's menu located below your name, click "Switch to Virtual".
3. Access real-world market to start practicing and honing your trading skills without risking your real money.

Remember: You just need to click “Switch to Real" when switching back to your real account and do the same by selecting "Switch to Virtual" to go back to your demo account.

eToro provides users with a virtual money of $100,000. These funds don't expire and can be used any time you want to trade in practice mode.

Yes. Although by default, eToro's virtual money is preloaded in US dollars, you can exchange it to a currency of your choice. Here are the available virtual money currencies other than the US Dollar:

Additional Funds

Virtual funds of $100,000 are automatically credited to a newly opened eToro account.

You can request for additional virtual money by opening a ticket with Customer Service. Just indicate how much you would like to add. eToro can add up to $100,000 to a virtual fund. Additionally, eToro can also remove virtual funds from your account, at your own request, down to a minimum of $2,000.
